Visit landmarks like the Sultan’s Palace, House of Wonders, the Old Slave Market, and bustling food markets like Darajani and Forodhani Gardens. You can even enjoy dinner at the house where Freddie Mercury, the Queen frontman, was born.

🏝️ Prison Island (Changuu Island)

🪸 Chumbe Island Coral Park

For true eco-luxury, take a day trip or overnight stay on Chumbe Island, a protected marine reserve and one of the best snorkeling spots in East Africa. With only seven eco-bungalows and pristine coral gardens, it’s an exclusive, peaceful retreat into nature.

Best Time to Visit Zanzibar

Zanzibar is a stunning beach destination you can enjoy all year round, thanks to its warm tropical climate. However, the most popular time to visit is during the dry seasons, from June to October and December to February. During these months, the weather is sunny and ideal for beach outings and exploring the island.

Even in the wet seasons (mid-March to May and November), Zanzibar remains beautiful. Rain showers are typically brief—rarely lasting more than 30 minutes—and temperatures still hover around a pleasant 28°C.

February is the hottest month (averaging 28°C), while July is the coolest (around 24°C). With such consistent warmth and beauty, any time is a great time to experience Zanzibar.
